Where Winds Meet is an epic open-world action-adventure RPG rooted in the rich legacy of Wuxia.

Set during the turbulent era of tenth-century China, you take on the role of a young sword master, uncovering forgotten truths and the mysteries of your own identity.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Content Intern to join our Global Marketing team. In this role, you will support social media content planning, trend monitoring, and community-focused initiatives across key platforms including X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, and Reddit.

You will work closely with the User Growth team to identify emerging trends, explore content opportunities, and help develop engaging social media campaigns that resonate with gaming audiences worldwide.

Responsibilities

Social Media Trend Monitoring

  • Monitor social media platforms including X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord to identify emerging trends, viral content formats, and relevant gaming conversations.
  • Track platform updates, creator activities, and audience interests within gaming communities.

Content Research & Ideation

  • Support content planning by researching social media trends, gaming culture, internet memes, and entertainment topics.
  • Assist in brainstorming content ideas and campaign concepts tailored for gaming audiences.
  • Identify timely opportunities to connect game content with broader social media conversations.

Influencer & Community Research

  • Research gaming creators, influencers, streamers, and community trends across English Community.
  • Monitor competitor and industry social channels to identify best practices and content opportunities.
  • Support influencer and community-related initiatives as needed.

Social Media Operations

  • Assist with content calendar management, publishing coordination, and campaign tracking.
  • Support the preparation of social media copy, screenshots, and other platform assets.
  • Help collect and organize performance data from social media campaigns.
  • Support the development and execution of localized social media initiatives for English-speaking audiences, ensuring content is culturally relevant, engaging, and aligned with community interests.
  • Review social content and community communications from a cultural sensitivity perspective, helping ensure messaging is appropriate and well received by audiences.

Performance Analysis

  • Monitor content performance and engagement metrics.
  • Assist in preparing reports and identifying content trends, audience preferences, and optimization opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Passion for video games, with a strong interest in action RPGs, open-world games, and online gaming communities. Familiarity with Where Winds Meet or the Wuxia genre is highly desirable.
  • Active user of social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and X (Twitter).
  • Strong understanding of English-speaking social media culture, internet trends, memes, and platform-specific content formats.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with global gaming communities and creating content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong awareness of gaming creators, influencers, streamers, and the broader gaming content ecosystem in English Community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Chinese is highly preferred as the position will have cross team working with game development in China.
