Over The Moon is looking for a highly editorial, organized, and socially savvy Social Media Lead to own the day-to-day execution of our social channels. This person will be responsible for identifying the stories that best align with the OTM point of view and turning those moments into compelling social content.

The ideal candidate has a sharp editorial eye, a deep understanding of the wedding and fashion landscape, and a natural instinct for what makes people stop scrolling. They should be equally comfortable curating a wedding feature, writing a clever caption, building a social calendar, communicating with content creators, and jumping into Instagram Stories in real time.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who wants to have a meaningful impact on how Over The Moon shows up socially and how we tell the stories of the couples in our community.

Responsibilities

Social Media Execution
  • Own day-to-day execution across Over The Moon's social channels, with a primary focus on Instagram.
  • Build and maintain the social content calendar, balancing wedding coverage, product, editorial, registry, partnerships, and lifestyle content.
  • Concept, write, design, schedule, and publish social posts.
  • Develop creative concepts for Reels, carousels, Stories, and other social-first formats.
  • Write captions in the distinctive Over The Moon voice: polished, editorial, warm, and culturally plugged-in.
  • Manage Instagram Stories and ensure the channel feels active, timely, and highly curated.
  • Identify opportunities to turn existing OTM editorial, product, and community content into social-first storytelling.
  • Partner with the broader marketing, editorial, merchandising, and creative teams to ensure social supports key business priorities and launches.
  • Support live and real-time social coverage around weddings, events, launches, collaborations, and other key moments.
  • Monitor social performance and use insights to continually refine content strategy and execution.
Influencer Partnerships
  • Own end-to-end influencer partnerships, identifying and vetting creators aligned with the brand, negotiating terms, and managing relationships from outreach through content delivery.
  • Develop and execute a gifting strategy that seeds product with the right creators at the right moments to drive organic content and awareness.
  • Manage ShopMy as a core channel for creator discovery, product seeding, and affiliate tracking, optimizing the program to grow reach and sales.
  • Track and report on influencer and gifting performance (content output, engagement, affiliate sales) to inform which partnerships to scale or sunset.
Editorial Curation & Brand Voice
  • Help define and evolve Over The Moon's social point of view.
  • Ensure every piece of content feels distinctly OTM and maintains a high editorial bar.
  • Bring a fashion-editor sensibility to wedding coverage, with a strong eye for styling, photography, details, and storytelling.
  • Spot the small moments that make a wedding story feel special, from the dress and accessories to the flowers, tablescape, venue, stationery, and unexpected details.
  • Develop recurring social franchises and editorial formats that can become recognizable OTM signatures.
  • Stay current on fashion, weddings, interiors, pop culture, creators, and emerging social trends.

Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of experience in social media, editorial, content, or a related field; experience in weddings, fashion, luxury, lifestyle, or media is a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and what makes content perform across Reels, Stories, carousels, and feed posts.
  • Exceptional editorial judgment and a highly developed visual eye.
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the wedding industry, fashion, designers, photographers, and broader luxury/lifestyle landscape.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a large volume of submissions, deadlines, relationships, and content simultaneously.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with couples, photographers, brands, creators, and industry partners.
  • Proactive and resourceful—someone who sees an opportunity and runs with it.
  • Able to work quickly without sacrificing taste or attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of social analytics and an interest in using data to inform creative decisions.
  • A genuine passion for weddings, fashion, culture, and storytelling.
