Role: Social Media Manager Public Affairs

Location: Remote, US

About the role: 

As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for leading the social media strategy, creating content calendars, producing and curating engaging content, reviewing social media analytics and managing blog publishing through WordPress for brand channels and high level executives. You will play a key role in building and nurturing online communities, enhancing brand presence, and driving engagement across various digital platforms, focusing on public sector, government and key opinion former audiences. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and community growth across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube and others. Channel health analysis and optimization. 
  • Content Calendar Creation: Plan and manage a content calendar that aligns with the overall marketing strategy and meets the needs of our clients and target audiences.
  • Content Production and Curation: Create, curate, and manage high-quality content, including text, images, videos, and infographics, with the support of the creative team, that resonate with our audience and supports brand objectives.
  • Content Publishing: Scheduling and publishing social media content through Sprinklr and managing blog content publishing on WordPress. Publishing outside working hours might be required occasionally. 
  • Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to community interactions, fostering a positive and active online presence. Engage with followers, answer questions, and encourage discussions.
  • Social for Executives: develop social media calendars and compelling content for high level executives. 
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and content performance. Provide regular insights to inform future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated content across all channels.
  • Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain innovative and effective. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement. 
  • Experience with public sector/government/tech highly desired 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content production skills.
  • Experience with WordPress and managing blog content.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr) and analytics metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and visual storytelling.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $80,750.00 to $90,250.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
