Social Media Manager (Medical Aesthetics & Wellness) — HighKey Agency

📍 Remote | Full-time | Hourly + performance upside

We're HighKey. We build social media and branding for medical aesthetics, plastic surgery, and wellness clinics. Turning doctors and clinic owners into the recognized authority in their market, the kind of presence that makes patients trust them before they ever book.

We're hiring a Social Media Manager to own client accounts end-to-end. You run the strategy, lead the client, and drive the growth.

What you'll own

You'll manage 8 to 10 client accounts and be the main point of contact for each one. You lead the strategy calls, set the content direction, and hold responsibility for delivering results that contribute to client success and retention.

Specifically:

  • Responsible for client-facing tasks, client calls, maintaining and building client relationships, etc.
  • Build content strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
  • Write hooks and scripts, build shot lists, and run film sessions (you direct the client on camera)
  • Hand off footage to editors with clear instructions and manage content through to publish
  • Track every deliverable and deadline in Basecamp
  • Read the analytics every week and adjust what isn't working
  • Train and lead a Social Media Assistant under you
  • Catch retention risks early and flag them before they become complaints

Our content has a clear standard: educational, authority-first, strong viral hooks, before/afters, case studies, myth-busting. No meme pages, no low-authority filler.

You'll report to our Head of Social.

Who this is for

  • You take ownership without being chased.
  • You respond fast.
  • You're comfortable with direct feedback, and you act on it the first time.
  • You can run a client call and sound like the expert in the room.
  • You're good with tools, and you don't resist new systems.

Day to day, you'll operate in Basecamp, Notion, Hootsuite, Frame.io, and Hubstaff for time tracking, plus ChatGPT and Claude for scripting and ideation.

Who this is not for

If you're running a side business, holding another full-time job, or you need heavy handholding to get work out the door, this won't be a fit.

Pay, benefits, and growth

  • Hourly pay in the $22.50 - $27.50 range, with performance-based upside tied to the accounts you grow
  • Paid time off that scales as you level up
  • A fixed monthly health and wellness stipend
  • Quarterly performance bonuses once you reach Mid-Level and above
  • A clear ladder: Starter Level 1, Starter Level 2, Mid-Level, Senior. Roughly, you level up as your client count and posting volume grow, where you'll also train an assistant into a manager. Promotions are based on quality, consistency, ownership, and how well you scale through your assistant, not tenure.

The first 90 days

  • First 30 days: learn our systems, complete onboarding, produce early work samples, prove you're responsive and coachable
  • First 60 days: own your accounts with less oversight, produce consistent output, improve from feedback
  • First 90 days: clear role fit, owning your KPIs, growing your accounts, leading your assistant

How we hire

Shortlisted candidates complete a skills test so we can both see the fit before committing.

How we work

Three things we live by at HighKey: competitive greatness, leading by example, and speed. We expect great work, and we move quickly to get it out.

To apply

Send your resume plus 2 or 3 examples of social accounts you've grown or content you've created.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
