About The Role

Hi, I'm Aysen. I lead the Clinic Marketing team here at Jane, and we're building tools that help clinics market themselves and grow their businesses. Our domain is big - we own Jane Websites (an AI-powered website builder that clinics can spin up in minutes), marketing analytics so clinics can track what they're spending and whether it's working, and integrations with other marketing platforms so clinics don't have to leave Jane to run their campaigns.

I joined Jane in July after spending the past six years in health technology, working on products supporting scientific research, pharmacy operations, and AI-driven diagnostic tools. What I love about this role is the direct impact - we're solving real problems for small clinic owners who are juggling a thousand things and just want their online presence to work without thinking about it.

The Clinic Marketing team is still norming and forming after a recent merger of two teams. We're small, close-knit, and we're solving for real ambiguity right now - we're building out our team, bringing on a designer and a senior PM, and figuring out what clinic marketing means for Jane. That's exciting, but it also means we need someone who thrives in that kind of environment. This role is a backfill for a teammate who moved on, and it's your chance to shape how we define and scale this product area.

You can find me on LinkedIn here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/aysen-benli/

What Impact We're Looking For You To Make
  • Own and ship features across our product suite - from Jane Websites to integrations to marketing analytics - with the ability to work relatively independently once work is scoped.

  • Solve complex technical problems with pragmatism and bias to action, making decisions and moving forward rather than waiting for perfect information.

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into clean, maintainable code that delights customers.

  • Champion quality and maintainability in everything you ship, from API design to test coverage to production monitoring.

  • Mentor and support teammates by modeling excellence, doing thoughtful code reviews, and helping the team raise the bar together.

What Experience We Need
  • Approximately 2 - 4 years of professional development experience with demonstrated depth in at least one technical domain, and solid understanding of API development fundamentals (webhooks, REST principles, etc.).

  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails is a strong signal - we're building and maintaining a significant Ruby codebase, including a major version upgrade ahead. That said, we're open to strong developers from other stacks who understand back-end concepts well.

  • Experience with React or another modern frontend framework - we're not expecting you to be a React expert, but we need you comfortable working in it and collaborating with product and design on front-end work.

  • Ownership mindset and bias to action - you see problems, take responsibility, and solve them without needing constant confirmation. You understand business context and can articulate how your work moves the needle.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity, spot risks ahead, and communicate proactively when you're blocked or when scope changes. You're comfortable in a growing, evolving team.

If you don't meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we'd still love to hear from you.

More About Jane

Jane is a founder-led, high-growth SaaS company born in North Vancouver, British Columbia. We're now a team of more than 700 people working remotely across Canada, the US, and the UK, united by our mission to help the helpers.

We build the products and tools that thousands of clinics rely on every day to run their businesses, care for their patients, and grow their communities. That level of impact means every person at Jane plays an important role in how we show up for our customers. We're all responsible for being deeply connected to their needs, obsessed with improving their experience, and proud of the difference our work makes in their day-to-day lives.

Jane is growing fast, and that growth brings exciting challenges that call for adaptability, resilience, learning agility, and humility. We're proud of what we've built and quick to admit what we don't know yet. We listen, learn, and adjust as we go.

We're also embracing the possibilities of AI, using it to work smarter, improve our systems, and create even better experiences for our customers and our team.

Our goal isn't just delivery - it's delight. We move quickly, communicate openly, and solve real problems together. If you're energized by ambiguity, motivated by impact, and eager to learn with others, you'll thrive at Jane.

Compensation & Benefits

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $98,400 to $147,600. While that is a large range, it is intentional.
