Software Developer I - ACE

As a full stack Software Developer I on the agreement to close experience team, you'll help power Redfin’s engine of growth with AI insights: our work makes our real estate agents more effective, leading to more successful home-buyers and sellers.
We strive for craftsmanship in our software: Great software is stable, fast, delightful and solves a specific problem. When building and maintaining our code we hold these as top priorities.
We iterate quickly but keep an eye out for one-way doors: We should quickly improve the software where we can easily reverse decisions, but proceed methodically and carefully when approaching work that would be expensive to undo.
We own our features from end to end. We build the pipelines to get data into databases all the way to the UI a user sees.

About the Role

• Use tools and technology across all layers of the development stack, from JavaScript, React and React Native to Java, Spring, SQL, Kafka, and an array of AWS technologies to build engaging and intuitive web and mobile experiences, including using approved AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code.

• Work with the team to design elegant technical solutions for complex problems that involve multiple users and systems while maintaining a clean, understandable user experience.

• Deliver features on-time and with high quality through consistent use of automated testing, monitoring, feature flags, and other common engineering practices.

• Actively contribute to a high-trust team environment through code reviews, peer feedback, and knowledge sharing.

• Work closely with our product, program, and ops partners to understand our business and coordinate efforts when rolling out new features.

About You

• You are a developer with 1-3 years of experience developing full-stack, customer-facing applications.

• You keep up with the ever-changing landscape of providing delightful User Interfaces - we use React and React Native.

• You have experience being part of a team developing large scale apps backed by relational databases - we use Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Postgres.

• You have experience using AI code generation tools tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.

On-Call Expectations
This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $118,800.00-$145,200.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
