Software Developer II

This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

The Digital Revenue team drives Redfin’s online business by transforming website visitors into new streams of revenue. We focus on Rocket Mortgage integration while also developing partnerships in new construction, data enrichment, and financial solutions. Driven by rapid experimentation, we analyze user behavior to uncover insights, enhance engagement with early-stage homebuyers, and refine our digital channels. Every initiative we take directly supports Redfin’s mission to connect the online and offline worlds of real estate through measurable, high-impact results.

The Role

• Develop and maintain high-impact digital features that drive customer engagement and create new revenue channels through Rocket Mortgage integration, financial products, and partner ecosystems.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to shape the user journey from first click to customer

• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on experiments that drive measurable improvements in conversion and engagement

• Own the full lifecycle of features, from technical design and implementation to monitoring and optimization

• Help shape the team’s technical direction and contribute to decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices

• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration

Who you are

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience specifically in React and Java

• Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers

• You have experience using AI code generation tools tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.

• Brings a product mindset: curious about user behavior, driven to improve the user experience, and motivated by business impact

• Previous experience working on A/B-experimentation teams a plus

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.

Base Pay Range: $125,800.00 - 170,100.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
