Software Developer in Test I, Data Platform - Seattle
 
Why We Have This Role
 
As a L3 Software Developer in Test on the Data Platform team, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to enhance the scalability, performance, security, and functionality of our software. This stack processes large amounts of free-form data using technologies such as Java, Go, Elastic, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, EKS, and others. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior engineers and contribute to the testing efforts of our platform.

Things You’ll Do
  • Assist in the development and execution of testing strategies and automation tools
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and ensure quality
  • Contribute to the maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and testing processes
  • Execute manual and automated tests for the platform and its components
  • Identify and report issues, working with the team to resolve them
  • Close quality gaps by building tools and automation
  • Ensure the security and performance of the platform through thorough testing
 
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in software testing, with an emphasis on automation
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, and JavaScript
  • Some exposure to CI/CD tools, containerization, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • A keen interest in software quality and an eye for detail

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
