About the Role:

As a Fullstack Engineer at Remitly, you will build innovative products that affect our customers' lives directly, act as a developer on mission-critical systems, and build top-notch consumer-facing applications using the most advanced technologies.

You will be part of the new initiatives team, working on an exciting product for Remitly and the team’s responsibilities include risk management (e.g. fraud prevention), building new authorization frameworks, and ensuring a great user onboarding experience. You will report to the Engineering Manager of the New Initiatives team.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Implement full stack solutions for ambiguous problems using multiple full stack technologies (TypeScript, React, Java, Go)
  • Deliver a seamless user experience for internal and external Remitly Customers.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team's services..

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on either frontend development for native applications or backend service development deployed via AWS.
  • Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Go.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $108000-$135000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
