  • Job Title: Software Solutions Engineer, Organized Play
  • Job Summary: Organized Play is committed to creating the best experiences that encompass all of our live events and programs related to playing our video and trading card games casually and competitively, from hobby stores around the globe to our premier events. The OP Tools and Business Systems (OPTABS) is responsible the technology and process ecosystem that support internal and external OP personas. This role designs and develops software applications with a primary focus on Salesforce and opportunity to learn other tools such as UiPath and Outsystems.

What you’ll do

  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process.
  • Design and develop solutions in Salesforce.com, utilizing Force.com, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Web Services, and APIs.
  • Support native Salesforce ecosystem integrations, backend services, and AWS technologies to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Work closely with product managers and program teams to deliver customized solutions that enhance user experience and generate tangible business value,
  • Analyze system enhancement requirements, translating them into well-architected solutions that leverage Salesforce and additional business tools effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce innovatively, improving existing business processes, supporting organizational scaling, and making informed decisions on when to use configuration vs. code vs. out-of-the-box products.
  • Creates flowcharts and other documentations to identify requirements for software and to propose possible solutions.
  • Coordinates with cross-function staff to forecast whether the design will be feasible under cost and time constraints.
  • Handle escalated support requests and address escalated user needs by providing timely and comprehensive resolutions to technical challenges.
  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions, utilizing expertise to architect and implement complex systems capable of high-volume, real-time data processing.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment, including configuring, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting new and existing Salesforce features, including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validations, workflows, flows, process builders, and third-party applications.              

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of software systems and programming languages.
  • Proficient with software engineering tools and applications: AWS, Databricks, Gitlab, etc.
  • Relevant certifications from Salesforce.
  • Human Centered Design principles, Lean, Agile Scrum, JIRA, Confluence helpful

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $127,850 - $152,878.75 per year. The full range is $127,850 - $194,000 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
