About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong background in backend development, data warehouses, and data pipelines to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing features online end-to-end — from designing and implementing server-side logic to building and maintaining the underlying data pipelines and storage systems. You should be excited about working across backend services and data infrastructure simultaneously to deliver complete, production-ready solutions.

You will play a key role in building world-class systems for cutting-edge B2B monetization solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across both application logic and data operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems for our B2B monetization platforms.
  • Build and operate data pipelines and data warehouse integrations to support new product features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and launch new features end-to-end.
  • Develop high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code and libraries for future use.
  • Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic where necessary.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure data protection strategies are in place.
  • Maintain and optimize database systems, data warehouses, and pipeline performance.
  • Document technical designs, code, system architectures, and operational practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
  • Hands-on experience with building and maintaining data pipelines and/or working with data warehouse technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of server-side architecture, system design, and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experience working with data storage systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data processing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work across both backend systems and data infrastructure as needed.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits

We offer a competitive benefits package:

  • Health, dental, and vision care for you and your family (100% coverage for employee)
  • Top-tier 401(K) plan with company matching
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • FSA, HSA and commuter benefits programs
  • Team activity budget

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
