Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Develop frameworks to address data analytics and strategic enablement needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five years of experience in job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Database Developer, Programmer Analyst or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Building big data pipelines for ETL; Python; Shell scripts; Talend; Spark framework; Cloud services such as AWS or Azure for migrating on-premise applications to AWS cloud; Automating data ingestion and processing pipelines in cloud; Developing strategies and processes for advanced data cleaning and quality using procedures and scripts; Developing automation for end-to-end visibility of application workloads and dependencies across physical, virtual, and multi-cloud environments using Autosys Job Information Language; Defining XSD, XML, and WSDL schema to ensure that data exchanges between web services maintain correct formats; Oracle; SVN; UNIX; Hive; C++; GIT; SOAP and REST web services; Cassandra; Hadoop; Linux; Software development; SQL; Informatica Powercenter 7x-10; Informatica Data Quality; IBM Infosphere; Sqoop; Hbase; Altova XMLSpy; SoapUI; IBM WLM; IBM Tivoli; Cyberfusion; JIRA.
Job Location: 450 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001.
Full-Time. Salary: $175,000 - $215,000 per year.
