The Software Engineer will design and enhance Curri's route planning platform, focusing on both front-end and back-end development while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and reliability.
The role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Routes Empowered Product Team (EPT) — the team responsible for building Curri’s route planning SaaS platform. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive the evolution of one of Curri’s most mission-critical systems, used by major enterprise clients to plan and optimize complex delivery routes at scale. This position calls for a hands-on engineer with both strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills — someone who thrives in solving hard, real-world logistics challenges while operating with speed and ownership.
What you wil do
- Design, build, and deploy core features for Curri’s Route Planner SaaS platform — a system that helps customers efficiently assign hundreds of orders across dozens of vehicles.
- Development efforts spanning both front-end (React, Next.js) and back-end (GraphQL, Postgres) systems, with a 60/40 focus on front-end work.
- Build and refine functionality for real-world logistics scenarios — such as driver breaks, fuel stops, and proof-of-delivery workflows.
- Improve system reliability, data accuracy, and app performance through thoughtful architecture and proactive stability updates.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to plan technical initiatives and deliver fast, high-quality outcomes.
- Triage and resolve production issues quickly — ensuring bugs are fixed within 48 hours of being reported.
- Contribute to a culture of high communication and continuous improvement.
What you need to have
- 3+ years experience in front-end engineering expertise with React and Next.js, including strong knowledge of component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
- 3+ years experience in back-end experience with Postgres and GraphQL, including writing performant SQL queries.
- Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable architectures and balance short-term delivery with long-term code health.
- Exceptional communication skills — you’re comfortable collaborating across teams and voicing solutions to complex problems.
Bonus points
- Experience working in high-growth SaaS environments or logistics technology.
- History of scaling systems for enterprise-level clients (e.g., Walmart, Home Depot).Proficiency in React Native, with practical experience building and deploying shared component libraries across web and mobile.
What's in it for you
- You will have the opportunity to work for a dynamic and successful start-up on a diverse team where you can make a huge impact by doing meaningful work.
- Significant and meaningful responsibilities from Day 1, with the ability to shape our engineering strategy. The possibilities are limitless and depend on you.
- Work in a remote environment with a flexible schedule. We don’t micromanage and want to help you do great work.
- There is no work/life—there is only life, and we want your time at Curri to be life-giving and foster the best version of you. We care about family and your own personal development and don't expect you to always be engaged with work.
- We offer a competitive salary, and benefits including, but not limited to, health, dental, vision, 401K, and an equity compensation grant.
