About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Salesforce is the #1 CRM and a deeply unified platform trusted by businesses of every size. We’re reimagining how customers buy, manage, and grow their Salesforce footprint through modern, scalable, and AI-enhanced digital experiences.
As Senior Architect for the Digital Commerce Platform, New GTM Models, Consumption & LRC, you will serve as the principal technical authority shaping the end-to-end architecture vision, standards, and governance model for Salesforce’s next-generation commerce ecosystem. In addition to transactional commerce, this role defines the architectural foundation for contract lifecycle management and embedded legal, risk, and compliance capabilities as first-class platform services.
You will shape how standardized contracting models, policy-driven risk controls, and AI-assisted compliance intelligence are integrated into commerce and consumption flows—enabling faster GTM execution while maintaining enterprise-grade governance.
Your remit spans traditional commerce, self-service channels, usage and consumption-based models, and emerging GTM motions—ensuring architectural coherence across how customers discover, purchase, adopt, and expand Salesforce products.
This role goes beyond solution design. You will influence senior stakeholders, mentor architects and engineering leaders, and drive multi-domain technical alignment across some of Salesforce’s most strategic transformation programs. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Identity, Pricing Strategy, and Revenue Operations teams to build resilient, extensible, and customer-first commerce capabilities.
Your architectural decisions will inform platform roadmaps for digital purchasing (Unified Console, Marketplace, In-app), cross-cloud API-first services, entitlements, usage metering, consumption orchestration, and new GTM and PLG-native user journeys. You will also lead how agentic interfaces and AI-driven orchestration become core to the next evolution of our commerce platform.
What You’ll Own
Platform Architecture, Standards & Strategy
Define and evolve the enterprise architecture vision for the Digital Commerce Platform, spanning eCommerce, consumption billing, new GTM models (PLG, try/buy/expand), and self-service customer experiences.
Establish architecture standards, reference patterns, and governance frameworks that unify flows across discovery, purchase, provisioning, entitlements, usage, upgrades, and renewals.
Champion an API-first, event-driven, domain-oriented architecture enabling modular, scalable services across multiple clouds and channels.
Drive adoption of agentic patterns, AI/ML orchestration, Data Cloud–driven personalization, and usage intelligence into core commerce services.
End-to-End Solution Leadership
Architect complex digital flows that support subscription, consumption/usage, entitlement enforcement, trial/PLG motions, account expansion across channels and Legal Risk Compliance domain.
Own key architectural decisions spanning Q2C, pricing engines, payments, identity, entitlements, usage metering, and back-end orchestration.
Guide engineering and technical leads in decomposing business capabilities into scalable, reusable platform components.
Ensure solutions meet high standards of security, compliance, extensibility, reliability, and operational excellence.
Influence, Governance & Cross-Functional Alignment
Serve as the senior architectural representative in steering committees, enterprise architecture councils, and governance forums.
Influence Directors, VPs, and SVPs across Product, Engineering, Pricing Strategy, Revenue Operations, Security, and T&P—shaping long-term investment and sequencing decisions.
Build alignment across multi-cloud teams to create unified technical strategies for commerce, identity, entitlements, billing, data, PLG, and consumption offerings.
Translate risks, tradeoffs, and system impacts into executive-ready narratives that guide strategic decision-making.
Technical Leadership, Mentorship & Talent Development
Mentor and elevate architects, engineers, and technical leads, raising architectural maturity and design rigor across the organization.
Promote a culture of reusable platform services, high-quality API design, and thoughtful systems engineering.
Establish architectural review practices and provide coaching on integration patterns, consumption models, and multi-domain solutioning.
