About Your Team: 

We build and support platform services that power advertising experiences at scale, such as services for management of ad configuration and ad metrics collection. Our mission is to provide robust, self‑service tools and services so product and engineering teams at People Inc can easily configure ads, serve ads, and measure ads performance.

About the Intern Role:

You will work closely with experienced engineers and product partners to:

• Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and services.

• Learn how large‑scale ad systems are designed, built, and monitored

• Ship real features that are used by other product and engineering teams at People Inc.

This role provides an opportunity to write production code, participate in team rituals, and gain exposure to platform engineering, advertising technology, and data/metrics in a modern web environment.

Internship Responsibilities will Include: 

Collaborate with others to investigate technology and develop solutions to help achieve business goals.

Write, debug, and test code for new features, bug fixes, or enhancements under the guidance of senior engineers.

Learn how to operate as an individual contributor in a business environment.

Grow coding-language skills; increase technical and domain knowledge.

Learn the services the team maintains.

About You: 

• Has fundamental coding knowledge; capable of writing code that achieves business goals

• Growth-mindset, willingness to learn and ask questions

• Comfortable accepting and incorporating mentor feedback

• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Candidates for this role should have:

Familiarity with at least one relevant programming language or framework: JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, Vue

Basic understanding of application programming interfaces (REST API)

Basic understanding of databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)

Experience with version control (Git)

Experience with advertising technology is a plus
