At Possible, we’re building a new type of consumer finance company. One that helps our customers stay out of debt rather than profit from them staying in it. As a Public Benefit Corporation, it is our mission and responsibility to help communities unlock economic mobility through affordable credit products crafted to improve financial health.

Founded in 2017, our lead VCs are Canvas and Union Square Ventures. We have over 100,000 reviews on the App Store with a 4.8-star average rating.

Since our founding, we have redefined how people approach small-dollar loans—delivering over $1 billion in funding to more than 1 million customers, issuing over 4 million loans, and saving our customers more than $500 million.

This role combines technical leadership, project management, and hands-on engineering to drive user acquisition and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute technically, actively participating in technical design, implementation, and code reviews
  • Manage project planning, execution, and delivery for the team's initiatives
  • Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to develop and implement growth strategies
  • Monitor and improve application performance metrics
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of engineering management experience, with a track record of leading high-performing teams
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong technical background with experience in modern languages and frameworks such as React Native and Spring Boot
  • Demonstrated experience in data-driven decision making and A/B testing methodologies
  • Experience managing the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in both growth engineering (optimization, experimentation) and product development
  • Background in fintech or financial services
  • Experience with user acquisition and conversion optimization
  • Knowledge of KYC processes and financial compliance requirements
  • History of partnering with marketing teams on growth initiatives
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Strong analytical approach with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellence in cross-functional communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to balance technical excellence with business impact
  • Passion for user experience and product quality
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
