About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer with expertise in Playwright for UI automation and API testing to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of business-critical applications.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to build robust test automation frameworks, drive continuous testing strategies, and ensure software quality meets the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Maintain UI Automation Scripts using Playwright.
  • Execute API Test Automation with tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
  • Integrate Test Scripts into CI/CD Pipelines including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Define and Implement Test Cases for web applications and APIs, both manual and automated.
  • Conduct Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate Early Defect Detection by working closely with developers and product teams through shift-left testing practices.
  • Benchmark API Performance using tools such as JMeter or k6.
  • Ensure Data Integrity and Security Compliance in the BFSI domain.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues in collaboration with developers.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement by staying updated with emerging trends and standards in test automation and BFSI compliance.

Role Requirements

Test Automation: Strong experience with Playwright for UI automation and API testing frameworks like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
API Testing: Proficiency in validating RESTful APIs, including authentication, request-response validation, and performance testing.
Programming: Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for automation scripting.
CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with integrating tests into pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Agile & Collaboration: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using JIRA or similar tools.
BFSI Experience (Preferred): Understanding of banking/financial applications, security standards, and compliance regulations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering or related fields
