How You’ll Make An Impact
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on our business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.
What You’ll Do
- Be an active member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design, development testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
- Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
- Work independently with guidance from technical leadership
- Collaborate with other quality engineers including design and test reviews
- Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes
- Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production-like environments
The Experience You Bring
- Ability to learn new tools, languages, and frameworks with some training and on-the-job experience
- Experience with Java, source control systems, and continuous integration tools
- Experience with web based services and technologies
Bonus Points If You Have
- Familiarity in web application testing using frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver
- Familiarity with cloud technology (e.g. AWS)
- Familiarity with SQL, relational database systems, and Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA
- Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems
