Duties and Responsibilities, Aligned with Key Results:
People:
- Create a positive team member experience as part of the broader Information Technology group.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable system solutions.
Client:
- Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations with a focus on financial compliance and efficiency.
- Provide guidance on best practices for financial systems architecture, data governance, and integration strategies.
- Support acquisition-related financial systems integration and harmonization efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.
Value:
- Serve as the primary technical lead for Workday Financials in the UK region, ensuring optimal configuration and integration.
- Design and maintain alternate account sets to support statutory and management reporting requirements.
- Stay informed on the latest Workday and other related financial application updates and product enhancements, communication these available features to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Configures and performs upkeep on the Workday system to meet Ryan’s business requirements and provide insight on best practices.
- Follow all documented user and system control procedures, including support with User Access Reviews and Change Control processes.
- Completes tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, reporting progress to managers.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university, and five years related experience.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role supporting Workday Financials.
- Strong understanding of EAP financial regulations, especially VAT configuration and reporting.
- Experience with alternate account sets, statutory reporting, and financial data modeling.
- Familiarity with other financial systems and tools (e.g., Prism Analytics, Project Billing, Revenue Management).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Computer and Technology Skills:
- Workday Financials certification(s).
- Experience supporting multinational financial operations.
- Background in financial systems integration during mergers and acquisitions.
