We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our team for this hybrid opportunity out of our Waltham, MA; Austin, TX; or St. Petersburg, FL office.
Job Summary
The Solutions Engineer is a technical professional supporting the sales cycle by working with Sales Representatives and Channel Partners. You will partner to comprehend customer requirements and deliver tailored product demonstrations and proof-of-concept evaluations. The Solutions Engineer also promotes professional services, creates statements of work, and ensures efficient pre-sales support to drive new and add-on sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct discovery interviews with stakeholders to identify technical, business, and workflow requirements.
  • Present customized Imprivata solutions and best practices through tailored demos and presentations.
  • Communicate the business value of solutions to both executive and technical audiences.
  • Manage proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluations, including defining success criteria and delivering proposals.
  • Create estimates, proposals, and statements of work for professional and managed services.
  • Support sales goals by partnering with Sales Reps, enabling channel partners, and assisting with events and RFPs.
  • Ensure smooth post-sale transitions to services teams and stay up to date on evolving Imprivata solutions.
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Other duties as assigned and required

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, consulting, or systems integration-preferably in healthcare IT or cybersecurity.
  • Solid communication skills and proven experience delivering technical demos, PoCs, and supporting multiple sales teams.
  • Skilled in scoping and estimating professional services, with a preference for candidates experienced in healthcare sales.
  • Microsoft Windows and MacOS operating systems
  • Directory services and protocols such as Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, SAML and OIDC
  • Application/software virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Terminal Services, VMware Workstation, Omnissa (VMware), Horizon View, Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktops
  • Identity management, multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) technologies
  • Enterprise-level cloud and SaaS-based software security technologies
  • Experience with Imprivata EAM (OneSign) a plus
  • Data Analytics and Auditing
  • SQL database queries
  • Basic Linux commands
  • Able to work autonomously or collaboratively, engage via virtual platforms and ideally located within an hour of a major airport.

This position offers a salary range of $142,000.00 to $170,000.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here . This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
