About us:

SentiLink provides innovative identity and risk solutions, empowering institutions and individuals to transact confidently with one another.

By building the future of identity verification in the United States and reinventing the currently clunky, ineffective, and expensive process, we believe strongly that the future will be 10x better.

We’ve had tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly. Already our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, beginning with financial services. In 2021, we raised a $70M Series B round, led by Craft Ventures to rapidly scale our best in class products. We’ve earned coverage and awards from TechCrunch, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Business Insider, PYMNTS, American Banker, LendIt, and have been named to the Forbes Fintech 50 list consecutively since 2023. Last but not least, we’ve even been a part of history -- we were the first company to go live with the eCBSV and testified before the United States House of Representatives.

Role

Members of the Solutions Engineering team serve as primary, technical points of contact for B2B and B2C customers (called “partners” at SentiLink) in the banking, fintech, energy, automotive and retail spaces. As a member of the team, you’ll help partners launch and maintain their integrations, assist with ad-hoc technical issues, questions and research requests, run technical calls and provide customized reference code. You’ll also help to build, maintain, expand and scale the internal tool suites and infrastructure you and your fellow Solutions Engineers rely on day to day, helping the team evolve from a reactive to a proactive posture.

While you will be part of SentiLink’s engineering department, you will work day to day with non-technical stakeholders on the Sales and Partner Success teams, frequently joining them on calls, fielding their requests and questions, and serving as an internal technical advisor and subject matter expert.

This is a remote, US-based position.

Responsibilities

  • Help new and existing B2B partners develop, maintain and refine their API integrations and provide technical consultation as needed via email, slack and video conference tools.

  • Research and resolve technical questions and escalations using tools and technologies like PGSQL, AWS, postman, swagger, python and golang.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Partner Success teams and serve as the technical advisor, subject matter expert and internal champion for enterprise and strategic customers in the banking, fintech, auto, energy and retail spaces.

  • Serve as a go-between and bridge between SentiLink’s business and technical teams and help foster internal alignment when needed.

  • Document business needs, bugs, processes and more in confluence, jira, salesforce and MkDocs.

Requirements

  • Very strong verbal and written communications skills. You know how to be simultaneously authoritative and friendly, and how to effectively communicate with both technical and non technical contacts, as well as to a combined audience of both

  • Previous experience working for a SaaS provider in a customer-facing, technical capacity

  • Intermediate to Strong Technical Experience with:

    • SQL - you should be comfortable joining multiple tables together, casting columns from one data type to another, using the group by clause and working with json types

    • APIs - you know the different HTTP verbs and status codes, the differences between headers, a request body and a response, how basic auth is different from oauth, etc

    • Postman - you can create and share collections, troubleshoot API calls, build variables and test conditions and use the runner tab.

    • Navigating and using a linux/shell/CLI environment - how to use vi/vim/nano, common linux utilities for file manipulation, string parsing and network checks, how to set environmental variables etc

    • A scripting language like Python or GoLang

  • Familiarity with:

    • Cloud Infrastructure (both through Web and CLI) with a preference for AWS

    • VS Code or another modern IDE

    • A modern version control system (github etc)

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States

Salary Range

  • $140-$170k base for Solutions Engineer

Perks:
  • Employer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents

  • 401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Regular company-wide in-person events

  • Home office stipend, and more!

Corporate Values:
  • Follow Through

  • Deep Understanding

  • Whatever It Takes

  • Do Something Smart

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
