Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Solutions Manager to join our HR Operations Team! In this role, you will serve as the domain expert and HRIS point of contact for the UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) Time & Attendance platform. This role will support and drive the implementation of new functions and enhancements by understanding end-user needs and developing functional and effective solutions - all to provide an outstanding user experience! As a liaison with other HR teams, you will be responsible for translating complex business needs into effective solution design recommendations using system analysis and design, and leading testing and deployment activities.
What you'll do:

  • Define and shape the business process architecture within your defined areas of responsibility
  • Act as primary authority on UKG configurations within a defined area(s) of responsibility; combining expert-level proficiency in the systems and solutions with the understanding of functional HR processes
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate aligned partners to turn broad requirements into recommended solutions
  • Support feature releases and issue resolution, working with business users, IT, vendors, and other support teams to define scope, prioritize, plan, and implement system changes and enhancements
  • Document requirements and technical specifications to support our solution landscape and HR organizational needs for systems implementation, upgrades, and process improvements
  • Develop project plans using data gathered, constraints, and probable consequences, managing the project and ensuring alignment to project schedules and other specifications
  • Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and provide key support in Systems Integration Testing (SIT)
  • Work directly with business groups to identify, analyze, design, test, and implement new solutions or improvements to existing solutions
  • Document the landscape and design to facilitate maintenance, in partnership with IT
  • Conduct high-level needs analysis and recommend service improvements to increase the efficiency of the systems
  • Review releases for new functionality and optimize existing processes and integrations accordingly
  • Develop and maintain awareness of the payroll industry to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen
  • Provide day-to-day thought leadership, as well as training and mentorship to testers and program managers
  • Review communication and training materials to ensure technical accuracy, assisting where necessary to develop materials in support of system navigation and changes
  • Partner with IT to address system, interface, data, and vendor issues


What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ Years of UKG experience, including a deep knowledge of UKG Pro WFM and the Advanced Scheduler module
  • Boomi certification
  • Knowledge of downstream integrations, and the ability to gauge the impact of changes, triage and remedy incidents, and scope level of effort for new initiatives
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills that enable translation between technical and business groups
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy when designing and developing solutions to creatively meet business needs
  • Comfort with leading multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing decisions and tasks effectively, and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Expertise in agile software development methodologies and their adoption within teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence concepts
  • The utmost passion for both technology and leadership
  • A Customer's First approach to interactions with business partners and employee user community
