The Role

Join our engineering team and play a key role in building the robust and scalable infrastructure that powers Syndicate Appchains platform. As a Software Engineer focused on SRE and DevSecOps,

You Will:

  • Take ownership of and drive the development of infrastructure components.

  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure on both cloud platforms (like Google Cloud) and bare metal providers (such as Latitude.sh).

  • Develop automated deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to ensure efficient and reliable releases.

  • Create robust monitoring and observability solutions to ensure the health and performance of our distributed blockchain infrastructure.

  • Build internal tools to empower our engineering teams and potentially the broader web3 ecosystem.

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to implement and promote excellent infrastructure practices throughout the company.

  • Learn and apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure the stability and availability of our services.

  • Participate in on-call rotations, with support from senior team members, to address production incidents.

  • Contribute to the automation of our infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

  • Assist in integrating security best practices into our development lifecycle (DevSecOps).

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or Backend Engineering role, ideally working with distributed systems.

  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, etc.)

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines

  • Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Grafana, DataDog, etc.).

  • Solid scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python.

  • Foundational knowledge of blockchain technology concepts.

  • Eagerness to learn and work with new technologies such as Rust.

  • Experience with DNS, firewalls, and networking principles.

  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a distributed team environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Have

  • Experience with Rust, Go, C++ or similar.

  • Familiarity with web3 technologies and concepts.

  • Basic understanding of smart contract development (e.g., Solidity).

  • Previous experience with rollup frameworks and blockchain protocols like Ethereum.

  • Familiarity with frontend development frameworks (e.g., React).
