Your Opportunity as the Sourcing Manager, Operations Indirects

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies for Secondary Packaging, Sanitation, Quality Control, select CapEx, and other assigned categories. This role leads the full sourcing lifecycle—spend analysis, supplier evaluation, RFP development, negotiation, contracting, and implementation across plants and corporate functions. Serves as the primary liaison between procurement and operations for managed spend across plants, ensuring needs are understood and addressed in sourcing strategies. This role will be a procurement point of contact providing procurement support for assigned plants.

Location and Work Arrangements: Working Remote

In this role you will:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Lead and manage category strategies for assigned indirect categories including ongoing contract management.

  • Conduct spend analysis, market research, and opportunity assessments.

  • Develop and manage RFIs/RFPs, evaluate suppliers, lead negotiations, and partner with SBA, Plants, Legal, and IS.

  • Roll out regional and National agreements across all plants.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Manage key supplier relationships and lead performance reviews.

  • Resolve supplier issues, drive improvements, and ensure service-level compliance.

  • Implementation of agreement and ensure plant participation and compliance.

  • Manage blanket purchase orders for inventoried items under National agreements.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Influence

  • Build and maintain strong horizontal relationships with leaders and subject-matter experts across plants and corporate groups.

  • Facilitate cross‑functional sourcing teams to ensure input, alignment, and shared ownership of decisions.

  • Influence decision‑making by presenting clear data, insights, and recommendations that balance cost, quality, risk, and operational fit.

  • Address concerns, identify barriers to compliance, and proactively guide stakeholders through change management.

Plant-Level Procurement Support

  • Support plants with procurement process and policy adherence.

  • Support daily requisition and PO management.

  • Oversee supplier setup and reinforce preferred supplier usage.

  • Identify local savings and continuous improvement opportunities.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required (Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or other relevant is preferred)

  • 5 years of experience in procurement or category management

  • Strong negotiation, analysis, communication, and influencing skills including highly effective horizontal internal and external relationships.

  • Highly organized with strong execution capability.

  • Proficient with ERP and procurement tools.

  • Experience with indirect categories

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and senior leadership to communicate category strategies and influence decision-making particularly in a multi-plant operations structure.

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% as business needs require
