WHAT YOU WILL DO

Due to continued expansion to support our customers, we have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Systems Engineer to join the EOS Team. You will be a technical oversight resource that will oversee a project from award to the final commissioning phases. You will be responsible for the identification of any specific needs or processes to ensure the successful delivery of the project, not limited to tooling, test documentation or resources. This position may also include the need to go onsite and assist with the commissioning of the system and troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technically support Project Managers, Field Implementation Teams and Sales, including assistance with product testing and commissioning support.
  • Collaborate with other teams to modify, create new documentation or workflow to ensure project deployment and team success.
  • Work with teams to provide guidance, skillset and mentorship as needed.
  • Review and as necessary modify project Scope of Works (SOW) with the teams to ensure desired operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep current with the technical aspects of the systems being installed through manufacturer training and partner relationships.
  • Review and final approval of technical documents (Schematic flow diagrams, rack drawings, layout drawings and detailed technical info for IP systems) for handover to Project Management for deployment.
  • Provide status and feedback of the technical aspects of the project to internal teams with the goal to improve project process and deployments to the highest EOS standards.
  • Review and approve final as-build drawing sets for close out and completion of projects you are engaged on.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 8+ years Design experience working with the AV Industry
  • Degree level qualified in a formal technical discipline or 10+ years professional AV industry experience in implementation and / or system support.
  • Knowledge of design implementation, Installation or Service Experience of key technologies such as
    • Control (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
    • Audio (BIAMP, QSC, POLYCOM)
    • Video (Cisco, Polycom, QSC, Crestron, Lightware, Teams, Zoom)
    • AVoIP Design and Deployment
    • Isolated and Client based Audio-Visual networks
    • Broadcast or Hybrid Broadcast hardware
  • CTS certification or higher
  • Project or Field management experience for large projects
  • Self-management of scheduling and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills for both internal and external communication in the form of both written, visual and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of the following is expected for success in the role:
    • Audio systems design including conferencing audio and video, digital sound systems, public address, event spaces.
    • Video systems, large format displays, projection, video wall image processing smpte and NDI.
    • Control systems touchscreen controls, automation, and smart building technology.
    • Video conference systems and methodology, integration techniques and deployment.
    • Audio visual system infrastructure design and planning.
    • Flexibility is required to accommodate working across many time zones as part of a global team, including international travel upon notice if necessary.
    • Full driving license that will enable you to meet any driving requirements

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • CTS-D, CTS-I, CCNA or Network Certifications
  • Formal educational degree in an Engineering Field
  • AutoCAD, BIM software or similar
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Ease Software
  • Shure, QSC, Lightware Certifications
  • Strong Proficiency in technical writing
