As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing Pinterest datasets and developing sophisticated knowledge systems to extract insights at scale. You will lead advanced data analysis and development efforts to uncover trends that inform key strategic initiatives utilizing a wide range of Gen AI tools, models, and workflows. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will create insightful reports and tools driven by AI, effectively generating and synthesizing insights to guide business strategies. With a global remit, you will empower markets and partners by providing valuable insights, especially where dedicated resources are unavailable.
What you’ll do:
- Data Strategy: Master the Pinterest dataset and collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional partners to explore future analytical opportunities that uncover advertiser value through data analysis and your generative AI expertise
- Data Visualization: Design and create visual representations from data sources to enhance understanding and analysis. Leverage generative AI to dynamically support dashboards, automate data narratives, and create interactive visual tools that explain complex user behavior. Use LLMs to automate the synthesis and distillation of insights into actionable recommendations at scale.
- Workflow Design: Develop a clear data system to extract advertiser-relevant insights from the Pinterest dataset, establishing effective processes and solutions. Develop AI-powered automation to continuously enrich, categorize, and summarize large-scale data assets for decision making. .
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to team members, colleagues, and clients to ensure clarity and optimal use of developed dashboards
- Execution Excellence: Independently drive the execution of specialized and complex insights deliverables and AI-enhanced analytics solutions development.
What we’re looking for:
- +5 years of experience working with large data sets and developing data visualization solutions, particularly for sales organizations application
- Proven expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker, with familiarity in advanced custom visualization platforms like Retool, Streamlit, or Plotly DashProficient in Python and highly skilled in SQL, with a track record of using these tools to query, analyze, and synthesize large datasets.
- Experienced in leveraging generative AI frameworks and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain) to automate data analysis and insight generation.
- Skilled in designing pipelines for document ingestion, embedding, storage, and indexing—optimizing document retrieval for LLM-powered systems.
- Strong business and product acumen, with the ability to transform vague questions into well-defined analyses and success metrics that inform business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of leading initiatives across multiple product areas and articulating findings to leadership and Insights teams.
- Experience in leading key technical projects and significantly influencing the scope and outputs of others, with strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated agility in managing ambiguity, with a strong ownership mindset to independently devise solutions to challenges and identify new opportunities.
- Understanding of user-centric design principles to ensure intuitive and actionable dashboards and visualizations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking, with a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in emerging data technologies and methodologies.
- Experience working across regions with a sensitivity to cultural differences, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business or equivalent experience.

- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the New York, Chicago, San Francisco or Seattle office.
