As the data engine for IT and Security many of the biggest names in the most demanding industries trust Cribl to solve their most pressing data needs. Ready to do the best work of your career? Join the herd and unlock your opportunity.

Why You'll Love This Role

Cribl is expanding its Data Governance function, and we’re looking for a Sr. Data Enablement Specialist to help empower hundreds of Criblanians to make confident, data-driven decisions every day. This is a high-impact role: You won’t just be answering "how-to" questions; you will design certification programs, documentation standards, and workflows that allow our teams to move fast without compromising the source of truth. This role reports to the Data Enablement Manager within our centralized Data function.

We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and innovative culture where team members enjoy working together—whether remotely or over a meal at a foodie hot spot. If you're someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is eager to contribute to a company poised for legendary success in the tech industry, we want to hear from you!

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • Be the “curator” of our BI tool, Omni. You’ll audit user-created content, identify rogue calculations and queries that need to be centralized, and manage the promotion of workbooks into official, verified dashboards.
  • Ensure Omni’s AI features are highly performant by partnering with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to enrich the semantic layer with the necessary context and metadata required for accurate natural language querying.
  • Leverage and implement AI-driven workflows that boost team productivity, such as using LLMs to automate documentation drafts, audit content usage patterns, or triage incoming support requests.
  • Spearhead Data Community efforts, such as office hours, newsletters, and Slack-based support.
  • Build and scale educational resources, such as recorded tutorials, workshops, and self-paced learning paths.
  • Act as a “voice of the user” for the Data team, helping Analysts and Engineers understand where Omni topics are confusing or where new self-service data models are needed.
  • Bridge the gap between raw data and business reality by maintaining high-quality metadata and documentation that helps all users understand the data they are using.

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and/or Data Enablement.
  • Proficiency in SQL and modern BI tools with semantic layer (e.g., Omni, Looker)
  • Comfort experimenting with AI to automate routine tasks and familiarity with optimizing AI performance through metadata
  • Strong track record of partnering with technical and business teams to translate needs, documenting shared definitions, enforcing data standards, and collaborating effectively to achieve goals
  • Excels in collaborative environments, engaging effectively with peers and stakeholders to achieve goals and actively participate in meetings.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities, capable of leading strategic projects with minimal guidance and managing priorities effectively.
  • Possesses a proactive and high degree of ownership, astutely identifying opportunities for improvement, driving new processes, and rallying the team to solutionize problems together.

Salary Range ($115,000 - $155,000)

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
