Own and evolve data product roadmap including platforms, pipelines, models, APIs, and dashboards. Define strategy, prioritize features, lead Agile delivery, ensure governance/compliance, track KPIs, enable users, and identify data-driven innovation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership: Own and evolve the data product roadmap, including data platforms, pipelines, models, APIs, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
- Strategy & Vision: Define the strategic direction for data products in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business, engineering, analytics, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable product plans.
- Data Governance: Ensure products adhere to data governance, privacy, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Execution & Delivery: Prioritize product features, create user stories, and lead agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Analytics & KPIs: Define and track key success metrics for data product usage, quality, and performance.
- User Enablement: Drive adoption by ensuring data products are well-documented, accessible, and easy to use.
- Innovation: Identify new opportunities for leveraging data to solve business problems or create competitive advantages.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years focused on data products.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data technologies such as SQL, data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query), ETL/ELT tools, APIs, and BI platforms (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data security best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, business, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Compensation, Benefits and Duration
Minimum Compensation: USD 57,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 201,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
