BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Database Developer/Administrator to join our Oracle team to support our Finance, Human Resources, Logistics and Procurement teams in support of our government contracts. The selected candidate will work with many users in support of multiple contracts for administrative support and maintenance. Will support the creation and development of unique database queries and specialized reports using technologies such as SQL/PLSQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX and Macromedia ColdFusion and Dreamweaver. Individual should be able to provide expertise in Javascript, HTML and UNIX environments and have full knowledge of database design principles and practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering/Information Systems and at least 6 years of related experience (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree)

- Work under limited supervision, self-sustaining based on project guidelines, work with project team in defining/understanding project goals/tasks.
- Maintain custom IBM Cognos Analytics reports for data shared with Oracle database.
- Develop and support Oracle database components and interfaces to Logistics system.
- Assist users in defining and resolving data issues for high degree of accuracy in information presented.
- Maintain and support existing ColdFusion websites and underlying Oracle database components.
- Other database administrative/development tasks as needed.

- Conformance to industry and company standards, documentation for design, development, testing/debug, release and maintenance/support on database systems as needed
- Familiarity or background in government and defense contracting financial and logistics operations and systems
- Ability to quickly and effectively learn processes, tools and development environments to effectively support project and contractual requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, clear focus on processes, with high degree of accuracy and integrity of data with goal of zero-defect end product
- Ability to quickly adjust to changing designs, goals and requirements in a timely fashion
