Job Overview
The Senior Strategy & Planning Manager in the IT organization plays a crucial role in directing the strategic path for our IT services and systems. This position is responsible for crafting and executing multi-year strategic roadmaps and establishing strategic goals. The Senior Strategy & Planning Manager will manage pivotal analysis tasks and lead transformative cost-efficiency programs. The ideal candidate will be a strategic visionary proficient in orchestrating comprehensive plans, galvanizing senior leaders, spearheading complex change management, and forging strong partnerships with senior leaders across the enterprise and IT to drive transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Communication and Change Management:
    • Articulate complex IT strategies and technological innovations clearly and concisely for an executive audience, ensuring understanding and alignment across departments.
    • Lead and manage change initiatives within large organizations, ensuring successful adoption and implementation of new processes, systems, and technologies. Develop and execute change management strategies to support organizational transformation and cultural shifts.
  • Strategic Thinking and Planning:
    • Support the Senior IT Business Operations organization with comprehensive insights into technological trends, IT infrastructure, and software solutions to identify and leverage growth opportunities within the IT domain.
    • Aid in the formulation of the company’s IT strategic plans by providing insights driven by data analytics, IT trends, and performance metrics alongside strategic recommendations to enhance IT infrastructure and services.
    • Utilize business intelligence tools and techniques to gather data from various sources (e.g., Tableau) to support the analytic needs of the business. Prepare and present data-driven analysis and strategies to senior management in both verbal and written forms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Project Management:
    • Foster collaboration across IT, HR, and Enterprise teams to develop strong interdepartmental relationships and ensure cohesive strategy implementation.
    • Oversee and ensure the timely execution of IT projects and initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders to manage deliverables, timelines, and expectations effectively.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with a keen eye for detail, capable of articulating vision, strategies, ideas, and complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) with a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Exceptional project manager who knows how to bring structure and clarity to situations where direction is limited.
  • Proactive problem solver who can break ambiguous problems down into manageable components.
  • Natural hustler with a contagious “can-do” attitude.
  • Team player adept at working with others across functions and building strong relationships across T-Mobile to overcome obstacles and gain alignment to achieve results.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's or Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in IT Operations, Strategy, Analytics, or Consulting.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data analysis, including the ability to prepare and present analysis and strategies to senior management.
  • Proven experience leading change management initiatives in large organizations.

    Base Pay Range: $111,400 - $200,900

    Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
