Position Overview 

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Director, Revenue Strategy and Operations to lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of our global revenue engine. This role owns revenue strategy execution and operating cadence, while partnering closely with Sales Strategy & Excellence, Finance, and GTM Operations on planning, pipeline management and analysis, forecasting, and enablement. This role will lead GTM Sales play programs, sales motion strategy frameworks, pipeline inspection and analysis, and cross-functional execution plans that accelerate predictable, scalable growth.   

Reporting to the Vice President of Go to Market Strategy and partnering across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product, this leader will shape enterprise revenue priorities and enable Autodesk’s commercial teams to achieve strategic objectives.  This leader will drive strategic alignment to unlock scalable growth, serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on revenue performance, risks, and tradeoffs and ensure our GTM teams are equipped to perform at their best. 

This role operates at executive speed, translating strategy into enterprise operating cadence, metrics, analysis, and cross-functional programs that drive measurable business outcomes. The Senior Director will also build and lead a high-performing team of 6-8 Sr. Program Managers and Sr. Analysts that will become central to Autodesk’s ability to optimize revenue performance. 

Responsibilities 

  • Drive high-impact growth initiatives: Define and execute cohesive revenue programs that support Autodesk’s overall GTM and company growth priorities. 

  • Lead GTM Sales Plays program: Develop, launch, and operationalize sales plays, ensuring clear execution guidance, adoption measurement, and performance impact. 

  • Modernize Pipeline Management and Analytics strategy: Design and scale end to end Pipeline analytics and reporting strategy leveraging Clari and AI capabilities. 

  • Deliver Pipeline Management and Analytics scalability: Partner with Sales, Sales Strategy, and Marketing to deliver consistent, scalable Pipeline and revenue performance metrics and reporting to measure and track success.     

  • Sales Forecasting: Partner with Sales Strategy & Excellence to strengthen forecast accuracy through operating cadence, inspection rigor, and leading indicator visibility. 

  • Performance Management: Own metrics and analytical frameworks that ensure pipeline health, revenue attainment, and leading indicator visibility. 

  • Operating Cadence: Establish and operate global revenue operating forums (monthly business reviews, quarterly strategy reviews) to drive accountability and cross-functional alignment. 

  • Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to translate strategy into execution, including pipeline management and inspection, GTM Sales Plays and measurement, and sales motion execution. 

  • Insight and Analytics: Develop executive-ready analytics and insights that drive decision-making, identify root causes, and inform strategic pivots. 

  • Program Leadership: Lead complex, cross-functional programs that improve revenue efficiency, performance, and GTM execution. 

  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale a high-impact Revenue Strategy and Operations team with strong business judgment and analytical expertise. 

  • Executive Communication: Synthesize complex data and strategy into clear recommendations for senior leaders and executive stakeholders. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • 12+ years of experience in revenue strategy, GTM strategy, revenue operations, sales operations, sales strategy, management consulting, or related disciplines. 

  • 8+ years of people leadership experience, with a track record of building and scaling teams. 

  • Deep experience in enterprise revenue planning, forecasting, pipeline management and analytics, sales strategy, revenue programs, and performance measurement. 

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional strategic initiatives with measurable business outcomes. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and driving alignment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MBA or advanced degree. 

  • Experience in SaaS, subscription, or usage-based revenue models. 

  • Experience operating in global, multi-product, multi-segment organizations. 

  • Proficiency with CRM, forecasting, and analytics platforms. 

  • Experience influencing without direct authority in a matrixed environment.

Salary Transparency 

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary within a competitive market range commensurate with experience and geographic location. Offers are based on experience and location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, Autodesk’s compensation package may include annual bonuses, equity awards, and comprehensive benefits.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $201,100 and $327,690. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
