As a Sr Director of Sales for Defense and Space (D&S) here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have a critical role in driving revenue growth and overseeing the business development and sales team for a D&S customer business team. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing business development and sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and analyzing customer needs to identify new business opportunities. Your expertise in business development / sales, leadership, and strategic thinking will directly impact the company's sales performance and contribute to its overall business success and market leadership.

You will report directly to the Vice President of Defense & Space, Customer Business Team and you’ll work out of one of our Honeywell Aerospace sites.

In this role, you will impact the company significantly by providing strategic direction and overseeing the business development / sales team to drive revenue growth, contribute to the company's financial success, and strengthen customer relationships. 

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage a business development / sales team providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales and orders targets
  • Develop and implement win strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales / order quotas
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions
  • Analyze customer needs to identify new business opportunities and lead proposals / campaigns
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and customer intimacy
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a business development / sales role within the defense and space industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
  • Strong understanding of proposal management and technical sales processes 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Knowledge and experience in US government acquisition processes (e.g., FAR 15, FAR 12) 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to develop and implement portfolio growth strategies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support sales operations and customer success
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
