Job Description:
Nytec PIC is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be a project lead for the embedded systems team working on projects for high-volume consumer devices. The candidate should be capable of scheduling activities, driving action items, and facilitating the embedded systems team in their contribution to the overall project teams.
Responsibilities:
• Your primary focus would be to effectively lead an embedded team of hardware, firmware and systems development engineers.
• Keep embedded team on track with respect to the project's schedule to deliver quality products on time
• Report to project teams/management any issues which need addressing from the team and also to report to the program manager any changes from the project team
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in embedded software development in a professional organization, ideally in the consumer electronics industry
• 5 or more years of experience in defining, designing, documenting, testing and implementing embedded firmware for 8-bit up to 32-bit microcontrollers using C and assembly language (including integration with target hardware) in a regulated industry (FDA strongly preferred)
• Experience in defining, designing, documenting testing and implementing electronic hardware systems including main boards, peripheral cards, power supplies, displays and other standard hardware features
• Hands-on knowledge of small micro-controllers, and analog interfaces is expected
• Able to use tools such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, IDE's and emulators for debug and test
• Candidate should have demonstrated technical leadership skills in a multi-discipline engineering project environment
• Understanding of board and system-level technologies and the ability to read, interpret and review analog and digital circuit schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Be proactive and a strong team player showing initiative and drive while always maintaining a positive and professional approach
Education: BS or MS in EE/or relevant experience.
