Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

 

 

  • Develop software, hardware, and test plans for calibrating Nokia coherent pluggable products.
  • Identify performance-impacting characteristics of optical transceivers through optical communication understanding.
  • Define and configure necessary test instrumentation and hardware for effective testing.
  • Collaborate with product teams to create and refine efficient optical calibration sequences.
  • Co-develop features with firmware and DSP teams to enhance product capabilities.
  • Automate test execution through robust software development.
  • Define and implement detailed testing requirements in partnership with engineering staff.
  • Drive improvements in test yield and reduce test execution time.
Qualifications

Your Skills And Experience

 

Must-Have:

  • MS in science or engineering; PhD preferred (Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering)
  • Proven experience in developing test and measurement solutions for optical components
  • Proficiency in writing scalable software with experience in object-oriented languages
  • Familiarity with quadrature amplitude modulation theory
  • Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test and measurement equipment

Nice-To-Have:

  • Experience with VB.Net
  • Familiarity with testing and characterizing photonic circuits with I/Q modulators
  • Knowledge of Serdes, electrical RF testing, and FEC operation
  • Experience with digital and mixed-signal IC testing
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce detailed test plan documentation
