YOUR IMPACT

Join our Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst focused on financial modeling for a growing infrastructure software business. You will build forecasts and scenario analyses that connect recurring revenue, customer trends, cloud delivery costs and investment decisions to Redwood’s financial outlook. Partner with Finance and business leaders to turn complex data into clear recommendations.

This hands-on role spans annual planning, long-range modeling, performance analysis and executive reporting. Your work will help leadership assess growth opportunities, improve SaaS unit economics and make informed decisions as the business scales.

Financial Modeling & Planning:

Build and maintain integrated financial models for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses and cash flow, with clear assumptions and sensitivity analyses.

Model SaaS revenue drivers, including bookings, renewals, expansion, churn and annual recurring revenue (ARR), in partnership with Sales, Revenue Operations and Finance.

Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-range plans; evaluate scenarios for growth, pricing, customer demand and infrastructure investment.

Performance Analysis:

Analyze actual results against forecast and plan across revenue, cost of revenue and operating expenses; identify the drivers of material variances.

Track SaaS metrics such as ARR, net revenue retention, gross margin and customer economics, and explain what changes mean for future performance.

Prepare concise analyses and presentations that help leadership evaluate trade-offs, risks and opportunities.

Collaboration & Communication:

Partner with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Product and infrastructure leaders to validate model assumptions and inform business decisions.

Present financial findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders and translate complex analyses into practical recommendations.

Work with the broader Finance team to improve forecasting processes, data quality and consistency in financial reporting.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

3–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a SaaS or infrastructure software business

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field

Experience with Workday or Adaptive Planning is a plus, but not required

Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; ability to work across Google and Microsoft productivity tools

Strong financial modeling skills, including revenue forecasts, scenario analysis and SaaS metrics; experience modeling cloud costs or gross margin is a plus

If you like growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
