IT Sr. Project Analyst Lab Information Systems / IT Business Systems Analyst V

Labcorp IT is actively searching for an experienced Sr. Business Analyst who will leverage their communication skills and software development lifecycle knowledge to provide guidance in developing business solutions within the advancing healthcare industry. The candidate will be challenged with cutting-edge technologies. The role will include complex business integrations, elicit requirements and implement secure and high-performance services to be consumed by various devices and applications across the organization.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use case scenarios and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills (required)
  • Able to take full responsibility for your own work.
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated.
  • Able to manage complex situations holistically.
  • Serves as a primary IT Business Analyst on medium-to-large complex projects.
  • Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Able to document business requirements in Use Case and User Story format.
  • Able to support both Agile Scrum and Waterfall SDLC
  • Experienced with writing requirement Acceptance Criteria
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with internal stakeholders in and outside of IT on requirements, requirement efficiencies, requirement priority and delivered value.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze information needs, functional requirements, use cases, and user/system interface designs as required.
  • Generate current and future state end to end process flows, and data flow diagrams.
  • Develop requirements specifications according to and using the defined requirement process, tools, as governed by SOP and project guidelines.  Top Team Analyst, JIRA, Confluence
  • Generate software screen mock-up and prototypes.
  • Fosters good working relationships with all departments while managing business expectation levels.
  • Provide input into Test Plan creation and support test plan validation as required for QA. 
  • Direct and manage the identification and implementation of solutions in a commercial off-the-shelf Laboratory Information Management System. 

License/Certifications/Education Requirements:

  • 3- 5 years’ practical experience working as an IT Business Analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or science related discipline.
  • Experience directing, identifying and implementing workflow solutions in an oncology commercial Laboratory Information Management system is a must have.
  • Experience supporting SCC Soft Gene Suite is nice to have.

Pay Range: $90,000 - 149,000 annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.  Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.  For more detailed information, please click here
