The Senior Lead Solution Architect will be responsible for the architectural vision and strategy for Salesforce and Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) solutions across Cox Automotive. Partner with technology leaders, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, enterprise-aligned architecture solutions. Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $144,900.00 - $241,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

- Lead Architectural Direction - define the Salesforce & CPQ technology roadmap, standards, and guiding principles; frame architectural options in business terms.
- Drive Solution Design - lead solution design of complex initiatives, ensure alignment to target architecture, and develop required documentation for release-trains and project teams.
- Promote Reuse & Standards - identify opportunities to reuse services, components, and frameworks; author and evolve enterprise standards.
- Provide Expert Guidance - serve as SME for Salesforce and CPQ capabilities, advising release-trains and delivery teams on patterns, integrations, security, data, and performance.
- Monitor Emerging Technologies - assess industry advancements; sponsor proofs-of-concept to determine enterprise fit and influence roadmaps.
- Facilitate Cross-Functional Alignment - build trust between Product, Engineering, and Architecture.
- Manage Technical Debt & Risk - assess technical debt, advocate remediation priorities, and ensure solutions meet security, availability, and compliance requirements.
- Lead Vendor & Sourcing Strategy - engage sales and service application vendors and cloud providers to confirm strategic direction, negotiate capabilities, and manage statements of work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years' relevant experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' related experience; a P.h.D. and 3 years' experience; or 20 years' experience in a related field.
- 8+ years of architecture or solution-design experience in enterprise environments.
- 8+ years designing, implementing, and governing solutions on the Salesforce platform, including CPQ (Sales/Revenue Cloud or equivalent).
- Proven leadership of full SDLC delivery, DevOps/CI-CD practices, and production-grade environments.
- Demonstrated ability to create technology strategies, roadmaps, and standards that align with enterprise objectives.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to translate complex technical topics into business value for senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Application or System Architect certification(s); CTA pursuit or attainment.
- Experience within the automotive, mobility, or manufacturing domains.
- Active contributor to the Salesforce community (User Groups, Success Community, MVP, etc.).
- Master's degree in Technology Management, Architecture, or an MBA with a technology focus.
