The Role

Signifyd is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented MDR to join our go-to-market function. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in creating and progressing net new sales opportunities in our highest tier segment. You will report to the Senior Manager of Market Development as part of the broader NORAM business unit. You will support our key stakeholders - our sellers, known as Strategic Ecommerce Partners - in crafting and executing break-in strategies and ensuring the early stage pipeline has enough support to progress towards booking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our strategic goals, be compensated for KPIs and bookings, but not be solely responsible for closing.

Responsibilities:

  • Targeted Business Development Outreach:
    • Identify and research potential high-value target accounts aligned with our strategic objectives based on internal and external signals, and intent (6Sense, LinkedIn SalesNav, company and industry research).
    • Execute targeted outreach through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn Messages, event invites, and other methods of prospecting.
    • Individually source, book and kick off initial discovery calls which become demand-gen opportunities as a key performance metric.
    • Progress demand generation opportunities to 'sales qualified opportunities' based on stated criteria, meeting monthly targets.
    • Develop and share engagement plans on high intent or focus accounts which includes contact mapping and break-in strategy for the senior sellers and executive leadership.
    • Leverage the entirety of the marketing function (e.g. campaigns, social selling, networking, virtual and in-person events, ABM motions) to generate qualified opportunities and progress the existing pipeline.
    • Although optional, attendance at industry events can be a key driver of understanding the dynamic of eCommerce and building relationships.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:
    • Collaborate closely with 2-3 Strategic Ecommerce Partners to manage and nurture all existing sales opportunities, scheduling follow up meetings as well.
    • Maintain organizational rigor and ownership on opportunity progression by managing and coordinating next steps and long term nurture (12+ months) where opportunities are dependent on prospects’ tech roadmap or upcoming renewals.
    • Compile internal collateral for tailored presentations and other relevant materials in collaboration with sales, marketing, partnerships and executive leadership.
    • Maintain meticulous records of deal status, activities, ownership of action items and key milestones within the CRM.
  • Collaboration and Development:
    • Proactively collaborate and leverage Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Partnerships and executives to drive results and optimize the sales process.
    • Quickly gain a fundamental understanding of our key value propositions and ecommerce and fraud trends in order to craft powerful and personalized stories.
    • Provide regular updates on outreach activities, lead generation metrics, and deal progression status to peers and executive leadership.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of our sales strategies, processes and best practices.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales development and deal management; uncover gaps and communicate those internally.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales development, business development, account management or similar role at an enterprise or higher level. Understanding of ecommerce, payments or fraud is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully generating qualified leads through proactive outreach and following up on intent; you know your process and can apply it.
  • Understanding of longer term deal cycles and how opportunities progress through a sales pipeline.
  • High energy, proactivity, tenacity and proficiency with written/verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling and succinct messaging; AI familiarity is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn SalesNav).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
