Job Description

Forbes Advisor, a leading advertiser in the comparison and affiliate marketing industry, is looking for a Senior Media Operations Analyst to support its Home and SMB/B2B verticals. Reporting to the Sr. Director of SEM, this role will be responsible for driving operational improvements for the verticals SEM affiliate marketing business.

We are seeking someone highly analytical with a proven track record of operating SEM accounts at scale. This role demands a candidate who thrives on diving deep into large datasets, uncovering actionable insights, and leveraging their commercial acumen to propel our media operations forward. 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SEM fundamentals and metrics, exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities, and a natural curiosity for unearthing the 'why' behind the data.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze SEM performance beyond platform dashboards to identify scalable growth opportunities
  • Proactively identify and address gaps in SEM monetization, including coordinating with the vertical’s business development team
  • Assist SEM leadership in the development of tooling designed to improve productivity of media buyers
  • Lead analytically driven projects focused on building operational improvements, including testing opportunities for AI application
  • Ownership of vertical P&L reporting, including financial performance and pacing
  • Conduct regular analysis of SEM accounts, identifying trends and insights that can be actioned by the team’s media buyers
  • Conduct industry trend and competitor analyses

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years managing Google SEM campaigns with a consistent track record of results
  • Strong commercial acumen, including familiarity with affiliate marketing deal structures
  • Strong excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
  • Self-starter who can work independently
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication, organizational and collaboration skills
  • Comfort working in fast-paced high-accountability environments
  • SQL, Python, and Tableau skills a plus
