This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class communications team and help elevate CrowdStrike’s position as the cybersecurity partner of choice.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the creation of compelling narratives that differentiate CrowdStrike in a competitive landscape, emphasizing key strengths and market leadership.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with top-tier technology, business, and trade journalists to drive impactful media coverage.

  • Manage high-profile media campaigns, including thought leadership, product innovations, customer success stories, and industry recognition.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product marketing, competitive intelligence, and analyst relations, to craft media narratives that align with business priorities.

  • Oversee crisis communications and reputation management efforts, ensuring swift and strategic responses to emerging challenges.

  • Arm domestic and international PR agencies with key narratives, messaging, and tools to drive consistent, measurable results across global markets.

  • Monitor and respond to competitive media narratives, shaping CrowdStrike’s positioning with precision and authority.

What You’ll Need:

  • A proven track record of developing and executing impactful media relations strategies that align with core business goals and deliver measurable results.

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft press releases, statements, pitches, and thought leadership content that drive influence and coverage.

  • Experience managing crisis communications, competitive narratives, and high-stakes public relations efforts.

  • A deep understanding of the media landscape, including established relationships with top-tier journalists and a keen eye for emerging trends.

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work seamlessly across product, marketing, and leadership teams to align efforts and drive impact.

  • A relentless focus on delivering results and seizing opportunities to tell CrowdStrike’s story in dynamic and differentiated ways.

  • Demonstrated expertise in simplifying complex cybersecurity and technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for media and stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 10–12+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or strategic communications, with a focus on technology or cybersecurity.

  • Extensive experience managing competitive narratives and shaping industry conversations.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
