About the job

Delart is home to a team of world-class engineers and project leaders dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced networking technologies, consumer devices, and innovative technology solutions. Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.

Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Network Engineer with an Automations edge. You will play a crucial role at implementing low-touch solutions to manage enterprise-grade network equipment at scale. Your core networking knowledge will provide guidance on technology selection and network solutions. Your expertise at integrating networked systems will enable research on cutting-edge mobile and GPU-driven technologies. Your work with Python, experience implementing Ansible, and familiarity with Linux will drive efficient delivery of research projects that rely on a highly-available robust network.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with network engineers, software engineers, and hardware engineers to create scalable, reliable, and secure networked solutions
  • Engage in the design, deployment, configuration, and management of network infrastructure using templatized data and CI/CD workflows
  • Integrate data-driven tooling with network stacks to provision, implement, and validate networking services according to solution design specifications
  • Manage and support enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Utilize experience with multi-vendor switching and routing technologies, including Juniper, Arista, and Cisco, for both design considerations and troubleshooting tasks
  • Use network telemetry and systems logs to enhance network services through troubleshooting and optimization
  • Partner with network operations teams to enhance and automate response mechanisms to minimize network outages
  • Work with large datasets of logs and telemetry to perform root cause analysis on network issues impacting the reliability of network services to end-users
  • Collaborate with research and IT teams to implement network-centric requirements, security, and systems integration
  • Build comprehensive expertise on site and regional network services to improve documentation, processes, and network automations
  • Integrate workflows with generative systems to enable living configuration, diagraming, and procedural documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in network engineering
  • 5+ years of professional experience with Ansible, Jinja or related tech stacks
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols such as: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, MC-LAG, and EVPN with VXLAN
  • Expertise in operating and troubleshooting IPv4 and IPv6 networking
  • Familiarity with Linux systems including scripting using Python and bash
  • Expertise at implementing NOS and platform-specific capabilities for multi-vendor systems like Arista, Cisco, and Juniper
  • Experience with network management and analysis using vendor-agnostic tooling: Grafana, Splunk, ELK, OpenSM
  • Experience with network segmentation and high-availability designs
  • Comfort with communicating, collaborating, and guiding non-networking engineers to clarify needs into well-defined requirements
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
