JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Predictive Analyst is responsible for leading and developing strategies to utilize transactional, web, and insurance data to create predictive insights to drive results. Working with the department to lead in all aspects of data preparation, analytics, management reporting, and ad hoc reporting across the organization, including both Dental and Medical divisions. Their efforts will be focused on synthesizing data and creating predictive models to uncover actionable, data driven customer insights for both divisions. This position will utilize analytics data and other data sources to identify new marketing and sales opportunities. They will work with sales and marketing leaders on collaborative analyses to drive business and market share.

This position requires partnership with the IT team to best utilize data within centrally maintained data sources as well as the loading and accessing of data from a departmental SQL database using Python and SQL.  Data visualization is completed in Power BI and familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps is preferred. The Senior Predictive Analyst position will also partner directly with the management team to support ad hoc sales analysis, visualizations, and insights to drive sales focus and maximize opportunity conversion. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner directly with Executives, Sales Management, and Marketing to identify sales opportunities and provide actionable insights into customer purchasing and behavioral trends.
  • Design data models and relationships within Power BI and SQL Server to ensure efficient data analysis and accuracy, by developing advanced SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to transform data.
  • Develop interactive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and data visualization to present insights to business users effectively, utilizing Power BI.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing report performance and streamline data refresh processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting between Power BI and SQL Server.
  • Create forecast analysis for finance and marketing by analyzing historical data and other relevant factors to predict future product category performance using statistical models and data analysis techniques.
  • Create predictive models using machine learning and statistical analysis; perform exploratory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data, and identify trends and insights to predict customer and market activity. 
  • Utilize Python, SQL, Power BI, and Power Automate to transform, analyze, and automate data workflows. 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • Ability to apply data & analytics concepts to business problems and how applying these concepts can provide business value.
  • Ability to create predictive models using statistical software and translate results into actionable business outcomes.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills and Access knowledge. SQL and Power BI knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with R Studio or similar integrated development environments (IDEs) for statistical computing and data analysis.
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and customizing Power Apps solutions integrating with data sources like SharePoint and SQL Server, and using Power Automate and Power BI to enhance functionality and workflows.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $73,432 to $114,737 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. 

 

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
