The Healthcare Partnerships Manager is responsible for growing provider partnerships and patient engagement through field-based sales efforts, requiring effective relationship management and consultative selling skills.

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

Rula is a remote-first company. We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Product Designer to join Rula’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team - a group focused on making the financial side of mental health care simple, clear, and trustworthy for patients, providers, and internal teams.

In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end design for complex billing and financial workflows that span eligibility, claims, denials, payments, scheduling, and financial transparency. Your work will directly shape how patients understand their bills, how providers get paid accurately and on time, and how high-volume internal billing teams operate efficiently.

This is a great role for a designer who enjoys untangling ambiguity, designing for operational scale, and translating regulatory, payer, and financial constraints into intuitive, user-centered experiences. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Revenue Cycle Operations, and Compliance to deliver workflows that balance usability, accuracy, and auditability—while meaningfully improving access to mental health care.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design, with a portfolio demonstrating shipped products and measurable impact

  • Proven experience designing complex, multi-step workflows, such as enterprise software, operational tools, or financial systems

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience, partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations stakeholders

  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, and contributing to scalable design systems

  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions, tradeoffs, and workflow logic to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • Experience in Revenue Cycle Management, healthcare billing, insurance, fintech, or other regulated, high-trust domains

  • Experience designing tools for internal operations or back-office teams with high-volume, accuracy-sensitive workflows

  • Hands-on experience conducting user research with operational users (e.g., billing specialists, analysts) and applying insights to workflow design

  • Experience building or contributing to enterprise-grade design systems, including tables, bulk actions, filters, flags, alerts, and auditing patterns

  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements for financial or healthcare products

  • Comfort designing data-dense interfaces, including hierarchical filtering, status-driven UI, and exception handling

We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive:

  • 100% remote work environment: Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments (must be based in United States, currently not hiring in Hawaii)

  • Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States

  • Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA

  • 401(k) plan access: Start saving for your future

  • Generous time-off policies: Including 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees)

  • Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Support for your mental and physical health

  • New hire home office stipend: Set up your workspace for success

  • Quarterly department stipend: Fund team-building activities or in-person gatherings

  • Wellness events and lunch & learns: Explore a variety of engaging topics

  • Community and employee resource groups: Participate in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all

Our team

We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our mission of making mental healthcare work for everyone.  We are dedicated to having a culture of inclusion that will support our employees in feeling safe, seen, heard, and valued.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
