Summary:

As the Senior Product Manager for Marketplace Optimization, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and launch of back-end systems, machine-learning, and data products.  You will own our impression ranking system, which aims to balance revenue and relevancy when displaying (a combination of paid and unpaid) job impressions to job seekers on our platform.  Your work will impact the experience of job seekers and employers (through which jobs or which candidates we match with them), as well as have a direct impact on company revenue.

Key Focuses:

  • Lead the ideation of improvements to our job ranking technology and ad auction platform  platform, 
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Executive, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Biz Dev, and Sales teams to prioritize, launch, and operationalize new features
  • Deeply understand our customer (employer) segments and needs, as well as our internal teams’ needs, to inform product decisions and strategy
  • Be an internal advocate, educator, and communicator about the products you own
  • Write specs, manage execution, and define product rollout strategy and communications
  • Own your team's planning process and roadmap, proactively communicate learnings, advocate for new features, and write documentation for technical and non-technical audiences

What We're Looking For:

  • Communication: From writing documentation to presenting strategy in a meeting to communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences, you are an excellent communicator who is able to effectively write, speak, educate, and persuade.  You are comfortable with both synchronous and asynchronous communication, working well with teams across multiple time zones.
  • Collaborative: You work exceptionally well across engineering, product, analytics, sales and marketing.
  • Knows What's Important: You prioritize based on the business' needs and make smart tradeoffs.  
  • Analytical: You possess a strong proficiency with analytics platforms (such as DataBricks, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or other platforms) and use data to make product decisions, set priorities, and measure success.
  • Leadership:  You are effective at leading a cross-functional team without authority.
  • Efficient: You build minimum viable products, measure, learn, and iterate in a fast- paced environment.
  • Hands On: You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting into the nitty-gritty every day when needed.
  • Customer Centric:  You focus on the customer experience and business use cases, not simply building new features.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Product Management experience
  • You can write a SQL query and aren’t afraid to dive into data to make decisions and assess impact
  • Extensive experience with AB or multivariate testing
  • Fundamental knowledge of Performance Marketing metrics (ex. CTR, CVR, ROI, CPC, CPA, etc.)
  • Business-level understanding of technical concepts such as machine learning models, APIs, relational databases, data formats (ex. CSV, XML, JSON, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on AdTech/MarTech, AI/ML, Big Data, or two-sided marketplace products, such as dating apps, ecommerce marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc.), real estate apps (ex. Zillow, Redfin), etc.
  • Experience as a product manager developing machine learning, search or ranking, or data-heavy products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$220,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
