As a Senior Product Manager, LaserWeeder at Carbon Robotics,  you represent the voice of the customer to the product team with a deep understanding of customer’s product needs and what technology-based capabilities are required to meet those needs. 

In this role, you will help define the LaserWeeder product roadmap through customer interviews and market research & analysis. Working with stakeholders and leadership, you will prioritize the product backlog to ensure that the team is working on features that maximize business value and deliver necessary functionality to their customers. 

In addition, you will:

  • Collaborate with the business stakeholders, Engineering Managers, and product teams to define product requirements, functionality and priorities
  • Use global processes to thoroughly understand the scope, complexity and dependencies of the business and what product functionality is needed
  • Communicate with the cross functional teams to ensure alignment across products within a product family
  • Responsible for collaboration of full end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to decommission with product teams
  • Travel extensively (40% domestic and international) to field and farm, visiting with customers, prospects, and sales

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Product Manager experience working with large scale industrial or agricultural equipment 
  • Proven execution in defining and building customer & market driven needs through data driven requirements documentation
  • Proven ability to rapidly articulate and drive strategic trade off decisions 
  • Strong communication skills; highly credible with customers; proven customer focus, empathy and design thinking
  • Highly collaborative and ability to influence without authority; proven ability to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical parties, proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder views, opinions and needs
  • Strong understanding of technical terms, processes, and practices of products within scope
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
  • Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, or other CAD viewing tool highly preferred
  • Subject matter expertise within Agtech highly desired
Carbon Robotics follows equitable hiring practices. Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted.  The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.
Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:
$135,000$155,000 USD
