Our Product Owners (PO) are an extended part of the DPTC team within Innovative Data Solutions. The DPTC team’s Vision is to be T-Mobile’s Privacy Champions as we empower, protect and enforce the privacy choices of everyone who uses T-Mobile products and services. Our Mission is to Earn Trust as we treat our customers right by being transparent and giving them practical ways to control how their data is used. We innovate responsibly, and continuously improve our products and processes to safeguard individual privacy as technology evolves.
We are looking for a top-tier Sr Product Owner implementing Privacy regulations, data architecture, microservices architecture, AI/ML, & messaging to deliver scalable technology solutions that align with T-Mobile's NorthStar products, platforms and architecture vision. This individual is encouraged to work with our privacy, legal, business partners to launch new innovative features while keeping Privacy Compliance at the forefront.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds, maintains, sequences and prioritizes Agile (Scrum / Sprint) team backlog, with input from customer, Product Manager, System Architect/Engineering and other partners. Typically maintaining 2 iterations (sprints) worth of user stories available and ready in team backlog.
  • Collaborates with Agile team and partners to write user stories and requirements that include acceptance criteria and acceptance tests, typically for 1 or 2 (max) Agile / Scrum teams.
  • Reviews and accepts completed user stories, being accountable and responsible for user story quality and performance in production environment.
  • Coordinates user story, functional, and technical dependencies with other Product Owners throughout each iteration and Program Increment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 4+ years of relevant Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and System Analyst or Architecture/Software Engineer experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • 2 years experience in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools.
  • Strong Technical Product Owner / Manager experience launching features and cross functional impacted products and projects
  • Strong experience and Privacy domain knowledge in launching Privacy & Compliance Products to support regulations such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR,TCPA etc.
  • Drive requirements, build features, user stories, and define clear acceptance criterion for technical teams to understand and implement
  • Work with partners (Legal, Privacy, Business) in defining, reviewing requirements, capabilities & acceptance criterion
  • Lead Requirements, product bundles, capabilities, and features in Jira
  • Partner with Architect to ensure that High level solution design is aligned with capabilities/requirements and low-level design
  • Build data flows, sequence diagrams, service design flows to drive low-level design of capabilities
  • Independently Drive impacted technology and business application teams and finalize the low-level design
  • Good knowledge in UI, UX, service, API, backend system integrations, database, SQLs and able to articulate those in documentation
  • Work with QA, Performance and User Acceptance testing teams to ensure test plans are covering the requirements fully
  • Lead changes in requirements, scope, design and implement change requests
  • Partner with Project / Program manager to ensure success of Project meetings, Low level designs, breakout sessions with individual teams
  • Strong experience working in Agile, Scrum, SAFe methodologies
  • Lead and prioritize Probacklog,log , Features, and User Stories
  • Implement Product delivery in increments (sprints)
  • Strong Presentation and Communication skills
  • Certifications in SAFe Agile methodologies, PO/PM, and IAPP are highly preferred

Base Pay Range: $94,600 - $170,700

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
