Renewals Manager
We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Renewals Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end renewal sales cycle. In this role, you will work closely with and collaborate with internal teams—including Account Executives, Solution Architects, Finance, Deal Desk, and Legal—to maximize retention and drive renewal booking growth. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and a relentless commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences that boost loyalty and retention rates.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Architect the Renewal Strategy: Lead the end-to-end renewal ecosystem for your segment, defining the framework for lifecycle milestones and implementing scalable playbooks to ensure world-class retention.
  • Predictive Risk Management & Forecasting: Internalize a data-first approach to analyze renewal health annually. You will not only identify risks but also engineer proactive intervention strategies that move the needle on  Renewal Rate and Net Retention (NRR).
  • Drive Exponential Growth: Consistently outperform quarterly and annual bookings targets. You are expected to treat your territory as a business unit, identifying upsell/expansion opportunities during the renewal cycle to maximize KPIs.
  • Executive-Level Insights: Synthesize complex data sets into high-level strategic narratives for leadership. You will provide the "why" behind the numbers, offering actionable recommendations that influence product and sales roadmaps.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as a strategic bridge between Sales, Product, and Customer Success. You will lead tiger teams to resolve high-friction churn scenarios and align multi-departmental resources to secure our most complex global accounts.
  • Operational Excellence &Leadership: Act as a force multiplier for the team by refining internal processes, onboarding new methodologies, and fostering a culture of rigorous integrity and relentless customer advocacy.
What We Look For
  • Experience: 5+ years in a SaaS customer-facing role, with direct renewals experience preferred and a proven history of delivering high on-time renewal rates.
  • Industry Expertise: A strong understanding of enterprise IT, Big Data, and the financial drivers that fuel business success across industries.
  • Negotiation & Strategy: Demonstrated ability to craft winning deals, negotiate effectively, and drive customer outcomes that balance value and profitability.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Adept at turning complex data into compelling narratives to influence stakeholders and inspire action.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to partner/strategically lead alongside senior leaders, navigate escalations, and deliver mutually beneficial resolutions for customers and the business.
  • Analytical Strength: Sharp attention to detail and the ability to distill complex datasets into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for Innovation: A deep enthusiasm for leveraging data and AI to drive transformative change in industries and deliver unparalleled customer value.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $125,200$172,150 USD
Zone 3 Pay Range
$118,200$162,600 USD
