Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with an experienced software development team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using C#, .NET Frameworks, and web technologies.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by following best practices and established processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to define tasks and schedules that align with project deadlines.
  • Create and deliver high-quality software deliverables, conduct unit testing, and work closely with Quality Assurance to address defects throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Support the development team through active participation in Agile SCRUM processes, including story creation, backlog refining, and all aspects of Agile software development.
  • Utilize your experience with Microsoft SQL Server to write and modify stored procedures, as well as mine data from large data sets to support software requirements.
  • Implement software solutions that meet specified requirements using web technologies in the Microsoft stack and deliver them in the Amazon AWS cloud.

Competencies

  • Excellent software development background with a strong understanding of C# and .NET Frameworks.
  • Thorough understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and experience in writing and modifying stored procedures, managing and mining large data sets, and optimizing database performance.
  • Superb Excel skills and PC Proficiency (Windows, Outlook, MS Office)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This role does not have supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in application development using C#, Visual Studio, and .NET Framework, with proficiency in web technologies such as MVC, WCF/REST, WebAPI, CSS, HTML5, and JQuery or other JavaScript Frameworks.
  • 7+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server, including Entity Framework and/or LINQ, and expertise in working with complex stored procedures and optimizing database performance.
  • 5+ years of experience with REST and JSON.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile, continuous integration, and cloud-based software development.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and new information.

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science (or experience equivalent)
  • Experience with NoSQL or other advanced large data storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with AWS, Lambda, or serverless technologies.
  • Understanding of Octopus Deploy setup and configuration.
  • Experience working in a distributed team setup, collaborating with development, QA, and support teams.
