The Opportunity

As a Senior Elixir Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building the critical infrastructure to process transactions, developing internal automation tools to streamline payments, and implementing the underlying functionality for features that our clients love. You’ll not only be enhancing existing functionality, but also have the opportunity to solve new problems as we continue to scale and grow.

Position Requirements:

●  Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant hands-on experience in Elixir-based systems

● Hands on experience with Elixir, Phoenix, and Postgres

● Strong understanding of functional programming and event-driven architectures

● Deep functional knowledge or hands on experience building APIs, CQRS, PubSub

● Experience working with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud services a plus

● Proactively influence team communication and team dynamics to accomplish the tactical mission of the squad

● Collaborates with others across teams to remove impediments and blockers

● Strong debugging and diagnostic skills

● Able to articulate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences

● Skilled at clearly documenting design and concept ideas

● Skilled at providing and receiving feedback at all levels across the organization


At Truckstop we are dedicated to creating a workplace that is equitable, inclusive, and inspiring for every employee. In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for a yearly bonus. Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$145,000$165,000 USD

The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not include other related occasional work that may be assigned or is completed by the employee.
