The new platform is composed of gRPC microservices and Lambdas in Go, Kafka streams, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, and micro-frontends on Node and React. We're utilizing industry practices and tools like OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Github, SignalFX, Figma, and others to make our lives easier.

What You'll Be Working On:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the engineering organization as a Senior Software Engineer. The candidate would join a small, agile team responsible for building product use cases to support our community team. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation, and implementation of new product features.

  • Work with partners in product management to understand business requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams like Product Engineering, DevOps, Identify, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, etc.
  • Own and review work for accuracy, quality, performance, and completeness

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • 6+ Years Professional Experience
  • 3+ years React experience
  • Good knowledge of API design and development
  • Ability to thrive as part of a multi-site development team
  • Ability to test, debug and monitor your own code
  • A bias to action and passion for problem-solving
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Worked with CI/CD tools with an emphasis on building quality code and speed to market

Salary Range:  $140,000 to $170,000.

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
